potential arena location
frederick arena
Located on Stadium Drive, next to Nymeo Field, the Frederick Arena project will transform the region into Frederick's 'Stadium District' housing both the Frederick Keys, the future pro hockey club, a future basketball club, and potentially Hood College Athletics, as well as shows, expos, concerts and other events.
This project can have no better area. Located conveniently off Maryland Route 70, directly next to the Ballpark for the Frederick Keys, and little to no residential property issues.
This image shows the overall layout of the building, with a main arena off Stadium Drive, and the practice facility/community ice rink connected to the main venue, which would be the only one of its kind within 1000 miles.

Mix-Use for Hockey, Basketball, Soccer, Concerts, Shows & Expos
Attached to the main venue, the Pro Team's practice facility & community rink. Adding 2 additional ice sheets to Frederick County will allow the grassroots hockey community to thrive, adding more clubs and players to youth, high school, college, and adult league clubs, offering more opportunities for additional games, tournaments, and other events.
The biggest problem with Hockey in Maryland isn't the lack of exposure or lack of players. Teams regularly are being turned away by venues due to lack of ice and infrastructure, causing many teams to fold. Without more ice, the scene won't be able to grow.
The Experience
Imagine a new semi-urban entertainment district just south of downtown Frederick with a Pro Baseball Stadium and a Pro Hockey Arena as its centerpieces. A large public plaza resembling the new style of stadium district's housing new bars, restaurants, shopping and businesses. Adding a potential future real estate complex to add, we want to turn the Frederick baseball stadium into the best sports district in Maryland.
Framing the downtown skyline. Fireworks illuminate the quad after a Key's victory or ECHL's Frederick's victory, with the Frederick skyline as their backdrop. We're ready to make Frederick a sports town.

THE COMMUNITY
Since the Baseball Stadium site is so closely ingrained with the local Frederick community, adding the hockey arena and the entertainment district will ultimately not hinder local real estate, or the local neighborhoods.
Special care would need to be taken to develop the site with the residents in mind. Mixed retail, grocery stores, affordable housing, parks, and other green spaces should all be considered to compliment the neighborhood fabric and enhance the Frederick living experience.
